ACCCKF, was registered in Zimbabwe in July 2014 in response to gaps on information and knowledge dissemination about climate change on the African continent. While some extensive research has been done on Climate Change, little has been done to respond to the findings, disseminate information produced by the researchers and to involve communities in alerting them to the phenomenon of Climate Change.

In some instances, the absence of terminology in indigenous languages on Climate Change has contributed to lack of information among ordinary citizens particularly the rural and farming communities as the issue has mainly been dealt with in English, giving it an elitist or scientific, label, perceived to be beyond the comprehension of ordinary citizens. The media has also shied away from disseminating information or knowledge around Climate Change as they have been reluctant to mainstream Climate Change in their reportage.

Our Vision
